A YEAR OF LOOKING UP

The act of looking up places the head in a position which engages the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve informs and regulates the nervous system.

Selection of images from a collection prompted by taking one photo a day looking up for a full year. This project was created as a way to encourage more nervous system regulation and to observe the impact of incorporating looking up into a daily ritual.

Photos were taken on 35mm in 2022-2023.
